Memory and Movement Building

Nathaniel Moore, Archivist and Co-Director at the Freedom Archives and Tracy Lai, History Faculty at Seattle Central College

Join us as Nathaniel and Tracy explore the intersections of history, historical objects, movement building, and social justice. Nathaniel will describe the work of the Freedom Archives, a non-profit educational archive located in Berkeley, CA dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of historical materials documenting progressive movements and culture from the 1960s to the 1990s. Nathaniel will highlight some work the archives has done to create organizing tools and catalyze student organizing. Tracy Lai will join us to share stories of memory and movement building in our Seattle Central community.
