Can I search the databases and other e-resources even when I'm not on campus?

Yes, if you are a current Seattle Central student or employee. Licensing agreements do not allow access for other users.

How do I connect from off-campus?

Starting spring quarter 2021, use your MySeattleColleges email account/password to access the library's database subscriptions for research articles, images, ebooks, streaming video.

Use the same MySeattleColleges account to access your library account so you can request items, see what you have checked out, and renew items.

Where can I find detailed information about the MySeattleColleges login?


Why can't I login to the library's e-resources?  I'm using the same login for college email and it works!?

Note of Weirdness:  The MySeattleColleges password you create expires every 120 days. But for some mysterious reasonyou may not even realize your MySeattleColleges password has expired because Office 365 still allows people to log in with an expired password.  Here's how to solve the problem:

Currently, you have two ways to reset your password on the Login Tools page:

  1. your new ctcLink ID (also known as EMPLID) and your ctcLink password [this is the default]
  2. your old student ID (SID) and your 8-digit birthdate (mmddyyyy) [this is a different screen; you have to click the blue text ‘don’t have your ctcLink ID…’ to access this option]
