Choosing A Book

Choosing a good book to read is like choosing a movie to watch - everyone likes different things for different reasons. Here are a few things to consider:

  • Where does the story take place (setting)?
  • What issue, topic, or idea does the book focus on?
  • Who are the main characers? How old are they? What do they do?
  • When does the story take place?
  • What genre is the book?
    • Historical?
    • Science Fiction?
    • Romance?
    • Mystery?
    • General fiction?
